Verse:
C
Let me tell you a story
         Cmaj7
G#out a girl, about a girl
            C7
Living in a worry, but she sometimes
F
Feels lonely
C
But you don’t know what it’s like
        Cmaj7
To be her, to fall in love
            C7
With somebody, but she thinks
        F
She’s not pretty, enough
C
When she looks at that person
      Cmaj7
Everything is blurry, except him
                 C7
She thinks she looks at her too
F
Oh, did he?

Chorus:
C Cmaj7
One night, she felt a very happy girl alive
        C7
They shared stories, they shared laugh
F
She wish she could freeze the time that night
C
Expectations high up in the sky
    Cmaj7
She knew something will bring her down
C7 F
She is disappointed, but not surprised

Interlude: C Cmaj7 C7 F

Verse:
C
Her heads not empty, there’s so much
Cmaj7 C7
xxxx left inside, she’s so dizzy
                     F
Is it possible, are we?
C
Her friends told her to stop
          Cmaj7 C7
Cause he already got someone to love,
                    F
What can I do, how can I stop?

Chorus:
C Cmaj7
One night, she felt a very happy girl alive
        C7
They shared stories, they shared laugh
F
She wish she could freeze the time that night
C
Expectations high up in the sky
    Cmaj7
She knew something will bring her down
C7 F
She is disappointed, but not surprised

Bridge:
F
She used to it, she used to this
F
Everytime she falls in love, she gets this xxxx
F
She told the moon, she don’t wanna fall in love anymore
                                           G
Cause if this heart break, who will fix it?

Chorus:
C Cmaj7
One night, she felt a very happy girl alive
        C7
They shared stories, they shared laugh
F
She wish she could freeze the time that night
C
Expectations high up in the sky
    Cmaj7
She knew something will bring her down
C7 F
She is disappointed, but not surprised

I am that girl, living in the worry
F
But I sometimes feel lonely

Reilly J

D D U U D U (island strum)

Georgia678

I feel like there’s a lot of D Majors missing as quick chord changes half a measure right before the verses kick in. Once I add those, sounds great!

kinkyBean

I find if you turn the G9 into a Dm its not only easy to play it also sounds more like the song 😀

Bernhelm

Thanks for the tip, kinkyBean! Dm is much easier!

Hanzo

Got my first ukelele at 6 finally learning to play one 60 years later

Ps
How about auld Lang syne by Jim Malcolm

Liam stam

Lyndzy

Switch G9 to a G7 at the end… In my personal opinion, it sounds better! 🙂
