Verse 1:
Em
I came upon a child of God
       D D
He was walking along the road
  D D
I asked him, where are you going?
            Em
And this he told me
Em
I'm going down to Yasgur's Farm,
       D D
Gonna join in a rock and roll band.

     D D Em
Get camp out on the land and get my soul free.

Chorus:
Em Cadd9 A7sus4 G Cmaj7
We are stardust, we are golden,
       Em D D Asus4 G Em
And we got to get ourselves back to the ga---aa--aa------ar-den.

Verse 2:
Em
So can I walk beside you?
       D D
I've come here to lose the smog,
   D D Em
I feel to be a cog in something turning.
Em
Maybe it's just the time of year,
D D
Maybe it's the time of man.
         D D Em
I don't know who I am, but life is for learning.

Chorus:
Em Cadd9 A7sus4 G Cmaj7
We are stardust, we are golden,
       Em D D Asus4 G Em
And we got to get ourselves back to the ga---aa--aa------ar-den.

Verse 3:
Em
By the time we got to Woodstock,
        D D
We were half a million strong
        D D Em
And Everywhere there was song and celebration.

And I dreamed I saw the bombers

          D D
Riding shotgun in the sky,
        D D
Turning into butterflies
          Em
G#ove our nation.

Chorus:
Em Cadd9 A7sus4 Em
We are stardust, billion year old carbon,
      G Cmaj7
we are golden

Em
Caught in a devils bargain

Em Cadd9 Asus4 D D Asus4 G Em
And we got to get ourselves back to the ga---aa--aa------ar-den.
