Intro:
C G F Am
I will leave the light on

I will leave the light on

Verse 1:
C G F
You made a friend, somebody said
                            Am G F
They saw you leave with him tonight
C G F
I'd hate to think you'd bite his lip
                         Am G F
The way you did when you were mine

Pre-Chorus:
    G Am F
Oh, maybe I've had one too many now
         G Am F
But it's getting late and you're on my side of town

Chorus:
-nc- C
If you're falling apart
                          G

I will leave the light on
                 F
I will leave the light on
        C G
It's 3 am and you can't find your friends
                 Am
I will leave the light on
               F
If you want to come home
                 -nc-
I will leave the light on for you

Verse 2:
C G F
You were the first that's why it hurts
                            Am G F
My heart, it burns but I'll be fine
C G F
Some part of me has to believe
                          Am G F
Eventually, you'll change your mind

Pre-Chorus:
    G Am F
Oh, maybe I've had one too many now -Maybe I've had one too many now-

I will leave the light on
                 F
I will leave the light on
        C G
