Intro: Gb Bbm Ebm Db B Db Gb Ebm Db

Gb Bbm Ebm Db
It was only a smile but my heart it went wild
B Db Gb Ebm Db
and I wasn't expecting that
Gb Bbm Ebm Db
just a delicate kiss, anyone could've missed
B Db Gb Db
I wasn't expecting that
Gb Bbm Ebm Db
Did I misread the sign? Your hand slipped into mine
B Db Gb Ebm Db
I wasn't expecting that
Gb Bbm Ebm Db
You spent the night in my bed, you woke up and you said
B Db Gb Gb
"Well, I wasn't expecting that"

Abm Bbm Bb7
I thought love wasn't meant to last,
B Db Gb
I thought you were just passing through
Ebm Bbm
If I ever get the nerve to ask
B Db Db7
What did I get right to deserve somebody like you?
                   Gb
I wasn't expecting that

Gb Bbm Ebm Db
It was only a word, it was almost mis-heard
B Db Gb Ebm Db
'Cause I wasn't expecting that
Gb Bbm Ebm Db
But it came without fear, a month turned into a year
B Db Gb Gb
And I wasn't expecting that

Abm Bbm Bb7
I thought love wasn't meant to last,
B Db Gb
I thought you were just passing through
Ebm Bbm
If I ever get the nerve to ask
B Db Db7
What did I get right to deserve somebody like you?
                   Gb

I wasn't expecting that

Interlude: Gb Bbm Ebm Db B Db Gb Gb

Db -xD-x Ebm
Isn't it strange how a life can be changed
B Db Gb
in the flicker of the sweetest smile
Db D
    We were married in spring
Ebm
You know I wouldn't change a thing
B Db Db7
Without an innocent kiss, what a life I'd have missed,

Gb Bbm Ebm Db
If you'd not took a chance on a little romance
B Db Gb Ebm Db
When I wasn't expecting that
Gb Bbm Ebm Db
Time doesn't take long, three kids up and gone
B Db Gb Db
And I wasn't expecting that
Gb Bbm Ebm Db
And when the nurses they came, said its come back again
B Db Gb Ebm Db
I wasn't expecting that
Gb Bbm Ebm Db
Then you closed your eyes, took my heart by surprise
B Db Gb
And I wasn't expecting that
