Intro: Gbm A

Verse:
                         A Gbm Gbm A
And you may find yourself, living in a shotgun shack
                         A Gbm Gbm A
And you may find yourself, in another part of the world
                         A Gbm Gbm A
And you may find yourself, behind the wheel of a large automobile
     A Gbm Gbm A A Gbm
And you may find yourself, in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
             Gbm A A Gbm Gbm A
And you may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?

Chorus:
             D G
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
             D G
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
           D G
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
           D G
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground

Verse:
                         A Gbm Gbm A

                         A Gbm Gbm A
And you may ask yourself, where is that large automobile?
                         A Gbm Gbm A
And you may tell yourself, this is not my beautiful house
                         A Gbm Gbm A
And you may tell yourself, this is not my beautiful wife

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was
                          C G D C G D

                      C G D
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was
