Intro: G D Em Cm

Verse 1:
                G
You feel like home on Christmas Day
      D
At 9 AM in second grade
       Em
Or the feeling that I had the very first time
               Cm
That I saw the ocean
            G
It seems so right but I don't know
                D
I've flown this high and crashed and burned before
        Em
And I'm tired of scraping up pieces
                                        Cm
Of my broken heart up off the concrete, every time I fall again

Pre-Chorus:
Bm
But if you asked me what I'm thinking
Am
When you're looking at me
Cm
Oooh-oooh It kinda sorta feels like

Chorus:
G
You belong, right here in the middle
      D
Of my tattooed arms, I could wait forever
      Em
And a day, just to hear you say
                 Cm
You can see the future when you're looking at me
                 G
Tell me when the world slows down 'cause I'm stuck in the moment
         D
That you turned around, begging God don't let her
      Em
Get away, tell me what it takes
                 Cm
I could love you for forever and forever and forever and a day

Post-Chorus:
G
Oooooh
D
oooooh
Em
oooooh
Cm
oooooh

Verse 2:
           G
I'm up and down, I'm back and forth
                   D
I swear you're the one and then I'm not sure
       Em
Oh I'm black and blue from pinching on my skin
                        Cm
Thinking that I'm still dreaming
          G
I call my dad to hear some truth
           D
I asked my mama how she knew she knew
      Em
And I wish that God would just spell out
                                 Cm
a yes or no up in the clouds, so I could know what to do

Pre-Chorus:
Bm
But when I'm wrapped up in your arms
Am
Under the backyard starlight
Cm
Oooh-oooh It kinda sorta feels like

Chorus:
G
You belong, right here in the middle
      D
Of my tattooed arms, I could wait forever
      Em
And a day, just to hear you say
                 Cm
You can see the future when you're looking at me
                 G
Tell me when the world slows down 'cause I'm stuck in the moment
         D
That you turned around, begging God don't let her
      Em
Get away, tell me what it takes
                 Cm
I could love you for forever and forever and forever and a day

Post-Chorus:
G
Oooooh
D
oooooh
Em
oooooh
Cm
oooooh

Bridge:
        Bm
So I'll roll the dice on my whole life
     Am
It's all yours if you want it
   Am Am Bbm
No way to stop this falling now.
     Bm
I'll reach around and put my hands
  Am
Into your denim pockets
    G D
And whisper when the moon comes out
It kinda sorta feels like

Chorus:
G
You belong, right here in the middle
      D
Of my tattooed arms, I could wait forever
      Em
And a day, just to hear you say
                 Cm
You can see the future when you're looking at me
                 G
World slows down 'cause I'm stuck in the moment
         D
That you turned around, begging God don't let her
      Em
Get away, tell me what it takes
                 Cm
I could love you for forever and forever and forever and a day

Outro:
                 G
World slows down
         D
That you turned around, begging God don't let her
      Em
Get away, tell me what it takes
                 Cm
I could love you for forever and forever and forever and a day

Biography

Hi, I’m Abe Parker. I’m from Blue Rock, OH and that’s probably the only time in your whole life you’ll hear of that town again. I live in Atlanta now. I moved here because I love music and want to share emotions with as many complete strangers as I can. I started off sleeping in my car. It wasn’t that bad. I play a crap ton of shows. My biggest fear is failing and so I often don’t try. It’s pretty lame. I believe Jesus is what this world needs most and he is the reason why I’m able to get past my fear and try again.
