Intro: C E7 F G

Verse:
  C G
I saw you with that ribbon in your hair
                      Am
Think that I began to stare
           F C
Maybe I'll love you for a while

C G
a stranger at a table in a place
                    Am
And a really pretty face
              F C
I wonder what happens when you smile

Chorus:
C E7
I might never be your hero
F G
Never been one to fight
           C E7 F G
That don't mean that I can't be your valentine
    C E7
And I won't be your saviour either
F G
Couldn't even if I tried
    C E7 F
But I-I think I could be someone you like
G
Someone you like

Interlude: C E7 F G

Verse:
C G
Reading in a coffee shop we shared
                     Am
Hiding shy behind my hair
             F C
Watching our movie in my mind

C G
I promise, promise not to fly away
                  Am
Make a story of today
      F C
C’mon, give me a try

Chorus:
C E7
Now I might never stop your sorrow
F G
Fix you up good as new
           C E7 F G
That don't mean that I can't hold your hand in mine
    C E7
Now I might never say I'm sorry
F G
Even if I done you wrong
    C E7 F
But I think I could be someone you like
G
Someone you like

Interlude -x2-: C E7 F G

Chorus:
C E7
I might never be your hero
F G
But I Think I'd like to try
        C E7 F G
And the way you look at me is your reply
C E7
Got a lot to learn about me
F G
Maybe we could start tonight
        C E7 F
Cause I-I think I could be someone you like
G C
Someone you like
