Intro: Dbm E B Dbm A E B Dbm

Dbm E B Dbm
These days my friends aren't who they used to be
A E B Dbm
We were all sinners and drunks but now they're too mature for me
Dbm E B Dbm
Because Mike's on daytime radio John played Reading & Leeds
              A E Ab
And I'm still playin the Purple Turtle at New Year's Eve'...

B Dbm A
We are sick and we are tired
B Dbm A
We're all fools and worthless liars
B Dbm
Young and unemployable
A
Lonely, drunk and beautiful
B Dbm A
We're so sick and oh so tired, so tired

Interlude: Dbm E B Dbm A E B Dbm

                Dbm E B Dbm
Through these cynical old bitter eyes the futures' hard to see
           A E B Dbm
And these songs still don't mean half as much as they should do to me
        Dbm E B Dbm
Because I'd made plans of being more than just that band
             A E Ab
Who had that song about friends and not much else...

B Dbm A
We are sick and we are tired
B Dbm A
We're all fools and worthless liars
B Dbm
Young and unemployable
A
Lonely, drunk and beautiful
B Dbm A
We're so sick and oh so tired, so tired

Dbm B
I'm not getting any younger
   E B
My bones aren't getting any stronger
   E A B Ab
My breath won't last for that much longer...

B Dbm A
We are sick and we are tired
B Dbm A
We're all fools and worthless liars
B Dbm
Young and unemployable
A
Lonely, drunk and beautiful
B Dbm A
We're so sick and oh so tired, so tired

Okay guys! So the first part makes no sense on this, so I’d thought I’d help out since I was confused, too. For the opening I would recommend playing this tablature twice:

A———0——0—————0——
E——0——0——0——0———-
C—1———————2—————
Also there doesn’t need to be any thing with the g-string, hopefully you know how to read tabletures 🙂 Another reminder is that if you need help with the timing of this, listen to the beginning on YouTube, and that is the pattern you would want to do!

Mira Black

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it’s done so far
What’s so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
What so we think we might see

uh I’m pretty sure the lyrics are shortened? There’s a lot missing I think…

oop these arent the lyrics

Michael

This is all wrong! You are missing like half of the song! PLUS… the intro makes no sense at all.

Playing this for my dad’s birthday today and am extremely excited

“Ooooohh and that I think it could be” I believe the correct lyric is “IT’S SOMETHING THAT I’M SUPPOSE TO BE”

Endormi3

On the last line of the first verse (on 0) it’s Dbm7 and Gbmaj (F#maj) instead of A and Gbm 🙂
