Intro: F Ab F Ab

        F Ab F E7
It sounded so much better in my mind, mind
        F Ab F E7
I guess I messed it up again this time, time, time
        F Ab F E7
There's something else that I wanted to say, say
        F Ab F E7
But my twisted tongue got in the way, way, way

F Ab F E7
Ooh My mouth is moving without thinking
F Ab F E7
Ooh My brain and mouth on different systems

F Ab F E7
Why can't you see my side of things
F Ab F E7
I've been thinking 'bout it ever since

F E7
I wish I said this, I wish I said that
Am G
But I kinda froze in my tracks
F E7
I wish I said this, I wish I said that
Am G
But I kinda had a panic attack
F E7
I wish I could talk good
Am G
I wish I could talk, I wish I could talk
F E7
I wish I could talk good

F Ab
Rerun the conversation in my head, head
F E7
Think of all the things that I should've said instead

F Ab F E7
Ooh My mouth is moving without thinking
F Ab F E7
Ooh My brain and mouth on different systems

F Ab F E7
Why can't you see my side of things
F Ab F E7
I've been thinking 'bout it ever since

F E7
I wish I said this, I wish I said that
Am G
But I kinda froze in my tracks
F E7
I wish I said this, I wish I said that
Am G
But I kinda had a panic attack
F E7
I wish I could talk good
Am G
I wish I could talk, I wish I could talk
F E7
I wish I could talk good
F E7
I wish I could talk good
Am G
I wish I could talk, I wish I could talk
F E7
I wish I could talk good

F E7
My words, my mind
Am G
They're worth all your time
F E7
My words, my mind
Am G
They're worth all your time
F E7 Am G
I don't wanna be a puppet game and caught on your line
F E7
I come back to these words every time

F E7
I wish I said this, I wish I said that
Am G
But I kinda had a panic attack
F E7
I wish I said this, I wish I said that
Am G
But I kinda froze in my tracks

F E7
I wish it went the way it went in my head
Am G
But it kinda crushed and burned instead
F
Why does it always end up like it is now
E7
So badly

F E7
wish I could talk good
Am G
I wish I could talk, I wish I could talk
F E7
I wish I could talk good
F E7
I wish I could talk good
Am G
I wish I could talk, I wish I could talk
F E7
I wish I could talk good
