remember keys
D G D
 She waits at windows
                 G Gbm Em G
Her dreams don’t show in color and she sleeps for now
She just waits around wishing she-

 Could leave, single mothers
           G Gbm Em G
In parking lots and wear another girl’s evening out
This place let you down easy

Gbm G
She gets up to buy a drink
Gbm G Gbm Em
I’d notice why when she walks by
There’s something caught in her eye, she says

               D G
That she can’t change for love
        D G Gbm Em
And she explains how long she’s waited for
Em Gb A
She wanted more

D G D G

D G D
 Dead leaves, desperate summers
         G Gbm Em G
All-ages clubs and metal shutter to keep you out
Gb A
While we hang around factories

D G D
 ‘Till we meet each other
             G Gbm Em G
Two discount lives and heavy numbers to keep you down
If I wait around, maybe she-

Gbm G
Might come back to say that I’m
Gbm G Gb Em
Not sure you know my name, that’s fine
But take me with you this time she says

               D G
That she can’t change for love
        D G Gbm Em
And she explains how long she’s waited for
    Gb A
She wanted more

Bm D
Gone today
  Gbm A Bm
I might just see you around
   A G Em Bm D
It hurts, but I understand if you can’t find another
Gbm A G
reason not to stay
And while she’s walking away she says

               D G
That she can’t change for love
        D G Gbm Em
And she explains how long she’s waited for
    Gbm A
She wanted more

             D G
And as these days go by
                D G Gb Em
Well they can’t change how long we’ve waited for
   Gbm A
A love that’s more
A love that’s more

  1. Love this song💖 it sounds great 😄
Would love if there where more like this
    Thanks for the cords 😁

  2. I’m not entirely sure that the gb is needed-I think you can just substitute in a gbm or miss it out completely. To me it just sounds a little off? But otherwise this great, and I’m so thankful that it’s on here. This is one of my favourite songs from Hesitant Alien, I would love to see more of them :)
