Verse:
G C
Hey, where did we go
G D
Days when the rain came
G C
Down in the hollow
G D
Playin' a new game
G C
Laughin' and a runnin', hey hey
G D
Skippin' and a jumpin'
G C
In the misty mornin' fog
   G D
With our hearts a thumpin'
  C D
And you

Chorus:
             G Em
My brown eyed girl
C D
And you, my
           G
Brown eyed girl

Verse:
G C
Whatever happened
G D
To Tuesday and so slow
G C
Going down the old mine
G D
With a transistor radio
G C
Standing in the sunlight laughing,
G D
Hiding behind a rainbow's wall,
G C
Slipping and sliding
G D C D
All along the water fall, with you

Chorus:
              G Em
My brown eyed girl,
C D G
You my brown eyed girl.

Bridge:
D7
Do you remember when we used to sing
G C G D7
Sha la la la la la la la te da just like that
G C G D7 G
Sha la la la la la la la te da la te da

Verse - same as before -:
So hard to find my way,

Now that I'm all on my own.

I saw you just the other day,

My how you have grown,

Cast my memory back there, Lord

Sometime I'm overcome thinking 'bout

Making love in the green grass

Behind the stadium with you

Chorus:
              G Em
My brown eyed girl,
C D G
You my brown eyed girl.

Outro:
Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da.

I suggest using a D instead of a D7 during the la te da part

Nohea

Jus as a suggestion for D7, if you can’t do it, don’t do D. Try putting your index finger on first string, second fret, and your middle finger on third string, second fret. That is D7 too, just an octave higher.

bill

best way to play the riff to brown eyed girl
for beginner

Chloe

I LOVE THE SONG IT IS VERY GOOD AND FUN TO SING AND PLAY ON THE UKULELE THE 0 IS REALLY EASY AND THE +6 SO MUCH FUN THANK YOU????

arkmandrew

This actually is very close but the song and chords should really be in C like the original. so instead of G C G D it would be C F C G. its not only easier but also how the song was originally written

ReeferKat

this should be an accurate tab for the riff. I have never made one, so I’m not sure if there are any rules with the hyphens. it’s fairly simple. If you have a hard time playing both of the strings at the same time, then you can play just the riff on the E string and it’s the same just doesn’t have as much sound to it! 🙂 Hope my first tab was helpful.

C ——————————————————————
G ——————————————————————
E —3—5—7—-5—3—8—10—12—10—8—-3—5—7—-5—3
A —2—3—5—-3—2—7—-8—10—-8—7—-2—3—5—-3—2

C —————————————————-
G —2————————————————
E —2—-3—-5—-3—-2—-[3]——————— x2 all the way
A —————————————————- through the riff, then add on the [3] at the E string the last time playing through.

Sarah

What’s the best strum pattern for this I am struggling with the Sha la la part in particular my current pattern doesn’t flow well
