This was my childhood
this song makes me cry even thinking bout it
Hello! Can someone please tell me the strumming pattern they used? Thank you 😀
+five sounds really good and is the easiest out of all of them
I vote for +3. I am beginner. feeling comfortable with C chord songs atm.
Hi, this is a good job on a somewhat complex song.
A note or two of correction:
Dbm and Gbm are not chords on the A scale. Technically speaking these should be C#m and F#m, which are. (same chord, different name) Also, B7 is the wrong chord it should be Bm.
Thus: A, C#m, D, A, D, A, F#m, Bm, E7 is the correct form for the first part.
The second part is the same, but it returns to A at the end. (which you missed) E7 on ‘Fancy’, A on ‘Stuff’ then, (optionally) play E7 on ‘Oh’ to transition to the chorus.
As a note, the song was sung in the key of G by the group, and published for Guitar in G. The following is the correct chord progression in G:
G, Bm, C, G, C, G, Em, Am, D7
G, Bm, C, G, C, G, Em, Am, D7, G
On Uke, however, the A fingerings are easier, if you can sing it that high.
+3
agree, +3 is so much easier. I’m a beginner and this uses chords I know. Thsnj You
+3 is great! I think it sounds better with the “Hawaiian” fingering of D7, though. (Hold down the G and E strings on the second fret)
It is much easier with +3, and with a capo on the third fret, also instead of Am-D7-G7, just go from Am to G
