It's been a few years since you've been gone
                   Eb Bb
There's been a few tears, but that was years and years ago
             Ab Gm Fm Eb
Yeah, I grew up to be exactly what you wanted
             Ab Cm Gm Cm
Yeah, I been living out the dream that you dreamt up
                Fm Cm Fm
It's been a few years with more to come
                Eb Bb
It's been a few years since I've felt sure of what I want
Ab Bb Fm Eb Ab Eb
And I woke up today and found that you were waiting here for me and I thought
Fm Cm Gm
Woah, old friend it's bittersweet
Fm Eb Cm Fm
How could you do this to me?
                 Eb Cm
How could you do this to me?

Verse 1:
                         Ab
'Cos you are not who you think you are
           Cm Bb Ab
There's no grain on these brown eyes, but they can be green if they really want
    Cm Bb Ab
And I can bend your words so they say exactly what hurts the most
    Cm Bb Ab
But silence is better than fake laughs or faking were always up, loose grip
    Cm
The world bends around you
    Bb
And living through cracked screens
   Ab
We fall fold down to what we want
           Cm Bb Ab
Out of love, we talk through lines, we're made of smoke
                               Cm
And just in time, we drift away
               Bb Ab
Diffusing light, confusing times
                               Cm Bb
Growing up, or cascading down?
               Ab
Cascading down
                Cm Bb
I'm hurting now

Verse 2:
    Fm Ab
But change comes slow
       Cm Bb Fm
If you hate what's in your head, the xxxx would you speak your mind?
                       Cm
In search of lost time
               Ab
Just 21 so I'm young and I'm stupid
              Cm Bb
Only 16, yeah I think you should've known
            Ab Cm Bb
I think you xxxxed me up
         Ab
I think,
         Cm Bb
I think you xxxxed me up
                         Ab
And I've got nothing to say to you

Outro:
Cm Gm Eb Fm
It's been a few years and I've moved on
                      Eb Bb
Couldn't make it disappear, oh I tried so hard to be strong
           Ab Bb Fm Eb
But I grew up today and faced that I'm not just lonely
           Ab Cm Bb
Don't feel much better but I guess that it's a start
