Intro: Am G Fmaj7

Verse 1:
Am G
This is a dark parade
                       Fmaj7
Another rough patch to rain on, to rain on
Am G
I know your friends may say
                         Fmaj7
This is the cause of celebration, hip hip hooray

Pre-Chrous:
    G C Fmaj7
The photographs and sepia tones, so still the fire’s barely fighting the cold, alone
           G
There were times when I could feel your ghost
              C Fmaj7
Just when I'm almost letting you go
    G
The cards were stacked against us both

Chorus:
C G
I will always love you for what it's worth
Dm C F
Never fade like graffiti on the overpass
C G
I know time may change the way we think of us
Dm C
But I remember the way we were
             F
You were the first full stop
                     G
Love that will never leave
G
Baby, you'll never be lost on me

Post-Chorus:
Am G
  Ooh, ooh, ooh, oooh
                   Fmaj7
Ooh, ooh, ooh, oooh

Ooh, ooh, ooh, oooh

Verse 2:
Am G
This is goddamn shame
                Fmaj7
Never wanted to break it or leave us tainted
Am G
Now I should walk away
                   Fmaj7
But I just can't replace us or even erase us

Pre-Chorus:
G
The car was stuck the engine stalled
               C Fmaj7
And both of us got caught out in the snow, alone
           G
There were times where I’d forget the lows
                         C Fmaj7
And think the highs were all that we’d ever known
G
The cards were stacked against us both

Chorus:
C G
I will always love you for what it's worth
Dm C F
Never fade like graffiti on the overpass
C G
I know time may change the way we think of us
Dm C
But I remember the way we were
             F
You were the first full stop
                     G
Love that will never leave
G
Baby, you'll never be lost on me

You were the first full stop
                     G
