Intro: D Gbm Bm7 A G Bm Em Em D D

Verse:
D Gbm Bm7
 I hope that you get
                     A G
everything you could ask for
                      Bm Em
The cold side of your pillow,
Em D D
a real break for once
D Gbm Bm7
 a good peppermint tea,
                   A G
a cool wind on the drive home
                     Bm Em
With no traffic for miles,
Em D D
for spring to come

Chorus:
G A
I swear that I wasn't looking for much
     D Gbm Bm7
But that’s just when you happened
                       A G
That's right when you happened
            A
Got so damn close to packing it up
     D Gbm Bm7
But that's just when you happened
              A
And then you happened

Interlude:
D Gbm Bm7
              A G Bm Em Em D D
-Then you happened-

Verse:
D Gbm Bm7
Now I’m red in the face,
                  A G
I'm shy all of a sudden
                       Bm Em
You move, I move, it's something,
Em D D
you fit perfectly
D Gbm Bm7
 And replace every game,
                     A G
you push none of my buttons
                         Bm Em
And hold me through the morning,
Em D D
kinda new for me

Chorus:
G A
I swear that I wasn't looking for much
     D Gbm Bm7
But that’s just when you happened
                        A G
That's right when you happened
            A
Got so damn close to packing it up
     D Gbm Bm7
But that's just when you happened
              A G
Mm, then you happened

Interlude 2:
Bm A
              A D Gbm Bm7 A
Mm, then you happened -Mm-

Verse:
D Gbm Bm7
 I hope that you get
                  A G
my dark sense of humour
              Bm Em Em D D
Sunsets in the summer with my family
D Gbm Bm7
 Don't stop talking to me,
                       A G
and maybe stay here forever
                    Bm Em
We could die here together,
Em D D
I’d do it happily

Pre-Chorus:
D Gbm Bm7 A G
I’ll hold you, I'll know you
       Bm Em Em D D
I’ll never leave out the back door
D Gbm Bm7 A G
And I'd love to complete you
        Bm Em Em D D
Hope you get all you could ask for

'Cause

Chorus:
G A
I swear that I wasn't looking for much
     D Gbm Bm7
But that’s just when you happened
                        A G
That's right when you happened
            A
Got so damn close to packing it up
     D Gbm Bm7
But that's just when you happened
              A G
Mm, then you happened

Outro:
                 A
And I swear that I wasn't looking
        D
for someone
    Gbm Bm7
But then you happened
    A G
Mm, then you happened
            A D
Got so damn close to packing it up
           Gbm Bm7
But that's when you happened
    A G
And then you happened
