Intro: Bbm Ab Db Gb

Verse 1:
Bbm Ab
I wear a mask with a smile
               Db
For hours at a time
                                  Gb
Stare at the ceiling while I hold back
             Bbm
what's on my mind
                             Ab
And when they ask me how I'm doing
                Db
I say "I'm just fine"
                             Gb
And when they ask me how I'm doing
                Gb
I say "I'm just fine"

Pre-Chorus:
        Bbm
But the fact is
Db Gb
I can never get off of my matress
                      Bbm
And all that they can ask is
Db Gb
"Why are you so sad kid?"
                Bbm
That's what the mask is
Db Gb
That's what the point of the mask is

Chorus:
           Bbm
So you can see I'm trying
          Db
You won't see me crying
          Gb
I'll just keep on smiling I'm good
            Bbm
And it just keeps on piling
        Db
It's so terrifying
      Gb
But I keep on smiling I'm good
          Bbm Db
I've been caring too much for so long
        Gb
Been comparing myself for so long
     Bbm Db
Been wearing a smile
                 Gb
For so long it's real
                 Gb
For so long it's real
                 Bbm
For so long it's real

Verse 2:
Bbm Ab
Always being judged by a
                 Db
bunch of strange faces
               Gb
Scared to go outside
                          Bbm
Haven't seen the light in ages
              Ab
But I've been places
       Db
So I'm okay-ish
       Gb
So I'm okay

Pre-Chorus:
         Gb Bbm
Yeah I'm okay xxxxx but the fact is
Db Gb
I need help I'm failing all my classes
                       Bbm
They think that I need glasses
Db Gb
I just really wish that I could pass this
                Bbm
That's what the mask is
Db Gb
That's what the point of the mask is

Chorus:
           Bbm
So you can see I'm trying
          Db
You won't see me crying
          Gb
I'll just keep on smiling I'm good
            Bbm
And it just keeps on piling
        Db
It's so terrifying
      Gb
But I keep on smiling I'm good
          Bbm Db
I've been caring too much for so long
        Gb
Been comparing myself for so long
     Bbm Db
Been wearing a smile
                 Gb
For so long it's real
                 Gb
For so long it's real
                 Bbm
For so long it's real
Db Gb
So long it's real
             Bbm
So long it's real
