Intro -x2-: D D G G

Verse 1:
D D
Wish I was there on the day you let doctors cut you
G G
up on a big long metal tray, face down for eight hours
D D
straight, you were scared that you'd go blind. From the blood
             G G
flow to your face, chin-dimpled and quivering, scared just like
D D
when you were two, on the floor of the living room,
G G
banging your feet, I would cover my ears to keep
D D
out all your screams but I still love you so, I just
G G D G
hope that you know that I hope that you know that ...

bumped into a man with hot coffee in his hands
D D
and he proceeded to pour that coffee on your
G G
head as some kind of lesson, I swear
  D D
I swung -run?- at his neck for assaulting my sister, with my
G G
knees on his chest I'd forcе his last breath.
      D D
I can still see the burns on your coffee stained clothеs,
       G G D
