Intro -x2-: E B Emaj7

Verse 1:
 E B Emaj7
Think I saw you on the bus just yesterday
 E B Emaj
Wearing that blue shirt you said you liked that day
 E B Emaj7
The image now is just blurred in my mind

Chorus:
       E B E B
But do you recall the time we talked?
     E B Gb
The day you held my hand?
             Emaj7 B
We were by a station
     Emaj7 B
The sky was dark in sight
     Emaj7 B Gb
The moon was out but the sun was in your eyes
                Emaj7 B
No one talked but I did
   Emaj7 B
You listened
  Emaj B Gb B
You said you liked the way I spoke

Verse 2:
E B Emaj7
I think I saw you in my dream last night
E B Emaj7
It was cold with lots of pretty lights
E B Emaj
The image now is just blurred in my mind

Chorus:
       E B E B
But do you recall the time we talked?
    E B Gb
The day you kissed me?
              Emaj7 B
We were by an archway
   Emaj7 B Emaj7 B Gb
With flowers cascading round the roof
                  Emaj7 B Emaj7 B
Standing under my winter coat to shelter us
     Emaj7 B Gb B
You said you liked the way I spoke

   Emaj7 B Gb B
And if you'd like to hold my hand
        Emaj7 B Gb B
It would bring back all the things we had
       Emaj B Gb B
And if God were to take that all away
Emaj7 B Gb
Wouldn't that be a shame?
