Verse 1:
              E
Caught in the moment
                A
Midnight in the room
              Dbm
My breath and heart
            B
Got taken by you
           E
I'm just a girl
                     A
Who's got nothing to lose
                Dbm
And got butterflies
                             B
But I'll stop if you want me to
         Gbm B
And it's almost perfect tonight
       E E Dbm A
As the storm is raging outside
                       B
One kiss and I open my eyes

Chorus:
               E A B
Yeah, you know love songs ain't for us
  Dbm B E A B
Nothing could explain about the way it hurts so much
Dbm B A
But at the same time it's
                    E
Perfect nights, it's open doors
   B Dbm
It's feeling safe, it's being sure
       E A B
It's a deep cut, crazy rush
   Dbm B E
To feel like us

Verse 2:
             E
Alone in the dark
             A
It happened again
                Dbm
Confused at the start
                    B
But it's all making sense
                 E
You're not yet a lovеr
                       A
But you're more than a friend
               Dbm
Thеre are some things you know
                          B
But things you can't understand
    Gbm B
Oh, babe won't you kiss me all night
          E E Dbm A
While the storm is raging outside
                     B
Lit up by the stereo light

Chorus:
               E A B
Yeah, you know love songs ain't for us
  Dbm B E A B
Nothing could explain about the way you hurt so much
Dbm B A
But at the same time it's
                    E
Perfect nights, it's open doors
    B Dbm
It's feeling safe, it's being sure
       E A B
It's a deep cut, crazy rush
   Dbm B A
To feel like us

Bridge:
       E B
No one knows, oh what it's like
   Dbm B A
To feel like us
          E B
Don't let go, oh, not tonight

Chorus:
E A B
Love songs ain't for us
  Dbm B E A B
Nothing could explain about the way it hurt so much
Dbm B A
But at the same time it's
                    E
Perfect nights, it's open doors
    B Dbm
It's feeling safe, it's being sure
       E A B
It's a deep cut, crazy rush
   Dbm B E
To feel like us

Biography

Amy Shark is the performance alias of Amy Billings, a singer and songwriter of angsty, atmospheric indie pop from Gold Coast, Australia.

After quietly making music for several years, she entered a song in the Queensland Music Awards and ended up winning the pop category. She then began touring nationally and received an arts grant that allowed her to work with producer M-Phazes on her song “Adore.” The single was well-received on radio upon release in 2016 and went on to become a Top Three hit in Australia in early 2017.
