to the house of such an angel too xxxxed up to get back home

        G D

and I will sing along

and how I can always count on you
D
to be there when the bullets fly

Verse:
        G D
well my heart is sweatin' bullets from the circles it has raced
     C
like a little feathered indian calling out the clouds for rain
      G D
I go runnin' through the thicket, I go careless through the thorns

just to hold her for a minute, though it'd leave me wanting more

Chorus:
D7 C
hold me close my dear,
D7 C
sing your whisperin' song,
D7 C
softly in my ear,
D7 C
and I will sing along

                       Em D C
honey tell me how your love runs true
         Em D C
and how I can always count on you
D
to be there when the bullets fly
    C C C G
I'd run across the river just to hold you tonight
