6 ukulele chords used in "Rainbow Connection" by The Muppets: A, Bm, Dbm7, D, E7 and Gbm

Okay guys! So the first part makes no sense on this, so I’d thought I’d help out since I was confused, too. For the opening I would recommend playing this tablature twice:
A———0——0—————0——
E——0——0——0——0———-
C—1———————2—————
Also there doesn’t need to be any thing with the g-string, hopefully you know how to read tabletures 🙂 Another reminder is that if you need help with the timing of this, listen to the beginning on YouTube, and that is the pattern you would want to do!
Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it’s done so far
What’s so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
What so we think we might see
uh I’m pretty sure the lyrics are shortened? There’s a lot missing I think…
oop these arent the lyrics
This is all wrong! You are missing like half of the song! PLUS… the intro makes no sense at all.
Playing this for my dad’s birthday today and am extremely excited
“Ooooohh and that I think it could be” I believe the correct lyric is “IT’S SOMETHING THAT I’M SUPPOSE TO BE”
On the last line of the first verse (on 0) it’s Dbm7 and Gbmaj (F#maj) instead of A and Gbm 🙂
+3 is so much easier it has the really basic chords. I’m really glad this is on here I love the muppets
Try +3
For the verses, I suggest the strumming pattern down, down, and then a quick up. A really quick up! It is a little tricky at first, but I think once you get it, it sounds really good. If you are not use to different strumming patterns, I just suggest two down strums for each chord.
instead of Am on rainbow connection try A7- sounds so much better
I second the +3, but here are better lyrics. Still working on the key change.
Why are there so many songs about rainbows,
And what’s on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it
I know they’re wrong, wait and see.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
when wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that
and someone believed it,
and look what it’s done so far.
What’s so amazing that keeps us stargazing?
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection,
the lovers, the dreamers and me.
All of us under its spell,
we know that it’s probably magic….
Have you been half asleep
and have you heard voices?
I’ve heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same.
I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it.
It’s something that I’m supposed to be.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection,
the lovers, the dreamers and me.
La, la la, La, la la la, La Laa, la la, La, La la laaaaaaa
Where’s the key change 🙁
E7 sounds better than Dbm7 on the ooos imo
Im just a beginner, so this is most likely wrong, but the “la la dee da la doo” part is the chords: A Gbm D E7 A
I just used the first four chords for the whole song and it works much better
rest in peace Jim Henson 🙁
Think A7 sounds better than Am, just putting that out there
This is not the muppets version. This is the Jason Mraz version. The muppets version is under “Jim henson”
