Chorus:
            Em D C D
If you were church, I'd get on my knees
           Em D C D
Confess my love, I'd know where to be
         Em D C D
My sanctuary, you're holy to me
            Em D C D
If you were church, I'd get on my knees
              Em C
I'd get on my knees
              Em C
I'd get on my knees

Verse 1:
         Em
Take the pain
                          G
Make it billboard big and swallow it for me
     Am
Time capsule for the future
          C B
Trust me, that's what I will be
        Em G
Oh, the things that you do in the name of what you love
        Am
You are doomed but just enough
        C B
You are doomed but just enough

Chorus:
            Em
If you were church, whoo
    D C D
I'd get on my knees, yeah
           Em D C D
Confess my love, I'd know where to be
         Em D C D
My sanctuary, you're holy to me
            Em D C D
If you were church, yeah, I'd get on my knees
              Em C
I'd get on my knees, whoo
              Em C
I'd get on my knees
              Em C
I'd get on my knees

Interlude: Em C

Verse 2:
           Em G
I love the world but I just don't love the way it makes me feel
      Am
Got a few more fake friends
                 C B
And it's getting hard to know what's real
       Em
And if death is the last appointment
                    G
Then we're all just sitting in the waiting room
     Am C B
I am just a human trying to avoid my certain doom

Chorus:
            Em
If you were church, whoo
    D C D
I'd get on my knees, yeah
           Em D C D
Confess my love, I'd know where to be
         Em D C D
My sanctuary, you're holy to me
            Em D C D
If you were church, yeah, I'd get on my knees
              Em C
I'd get on my knees, yeah, oh
              Em C
I'd get on my knees, yeah
              Em C
I'd get on my knees
            Em
If you were church, whoo
    D C D
I'd get on my knees, yeah
           Em D C D
Confess my love, I'd know where to be
         Em D C D
My sanctuary, you're holy to me

Biography

Fall Out Boy is a band formed in 2001 in Glenview, Illinois after good friends Joe Trohman and Pete Wentz met high schooler Patrick Stump. Stump originally auditioned as a drummer, but soon became the lead singer. The following year, the band debuted with a self-released demo and followed it up with the May 28, 2002 release of Split EP, which featured Project Rocket, on Uprising Records. The group released a mini-LP, Evening Out With Your Girlfriend, also on Uprising Records, in 2003.
