C
… I got my driver’s license last week
                            Am
Just like we always talked about

‘Cause you were so excited for me
                            F
To finally drive up to your house

But today I drove through the suburbs
                           C
Crying ‘cause you weren't around

C
… And you’re probably with that blonde girl

Who always made me doubt
Am
… She’s so much older than me

She’s everything I’m insecure about
        F
Yeah, today I drove through the suburbs
                                    C
‘Cause how could I ever love someone else?

    F
And I know we weren’t perfect
                                 C
But I’ve never felt this way for no one
    F
And I just can’t imagine how you could be so okay
         C
Now that I’m gone

      Am G
Guess you didn’t mean
         C Em F
What you wrote in that song about me
       Dm G C
‘Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street

C
… And all my friends are tired

Of hearing how much I miss you
    Am
But … I kinda feel sorry for them

‘Cause they’ll never know you the way that I do, yeah
  F
Today I drove through the suburbs
                               C
And pictured I was driving home to you

    F
And I know we weren’t perfect
                                 C
But I’ve never felt this way for no one
        F
Oh, and I just can’t imagine how you could be so okay
         C
Now that I’m gone

        Am G
I guess you didn’t mean
         C Em F
What you wrote in that song about me
       Dm G C
‘Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street

Am
Red lights, stop signs
F C
I still see your face in the white cars, front yards
G
Can’t drive past the places

   Am
We used to go to
         F C
‘Cause I you know I still love you, babe
   G
Ooo…

Am
Sidewalks we crossed
F C
I still hear your voice in the traffic, we’re laughing
G
Over all the noise

        Am
God I’m so blue, know we’re through
    F C
But you know I still love you, babe
   G
Ooo…

F
I know we weren’t perfect
                                 C
But I’ve never felt this way for no one
        F
Oh, and I just can’t imagine how you could be so okay
         C
Now that I’m gone

      Am G
Guess you didn’t mean
         Em G F
What you wrote in that song about me
       Dm G C
‘Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street

      Dm G Am
Yeah, you said forever, now I drive alone past your street
