Lauren Ashley Daigle, born September 9, 1991, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a prominent American singer-songwriter in contemporary Christian music. Raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, she was surrounded by the vibrant sounds of zydeco, blues, and Cajun music, which influenced her musical style. While Lauren always possessed a love for singing, it wasn't until a challenging battle with contagious cytomegalovirus at the age of 15 forced her out of high school for two years that music truly took center stage.
