Verse 1:
Gm9 C13
I think some words are overdue
                        Fmaj7
Could we just do it over?
                            Gbdim
Can we just talk it out like friends because I need your shoulder?
Gm9 C13
I know we ended on the wrong terms
                        Fmaj7
But I said we're past it
                           Gbdim
So why you textin' me with questions you don't gotta ask me?
      Gm9
Like -Hey!-
                             C13 Fmaj7
"I know it's random, how you been?
                           Gbdim
Do you remember 'bout this band you said you listened to?
Gm9
While we were younger, while we were softer
      C13
While we were all about each other
     Fmaj7
Hope life is treatin' you better"
        Gbdim
Better, better

Pre-Chorus:
                  Gm9
Girl, what's with that?
             C13 Fmaj7
Yo', cut the act, 'cause I don't have time for laughs
                      Gbdim
No, I do not want the past
    Gm9
But if you are ever in need
    C13
And God has you down on your knees
    Fmaj7
And you do not know who to be

Then go on and come home to me

Chorus:
           Gm9 C13
'Cause I'm here -Hm-whoa-
                        Fmaj7
If you need me, I'll be here -Hm-whoa-
      Gbdim
Right here -Hm-whoa-
         Gm9 C13
Said I'm here -Hm-whoa-
                        Fmaj7
If you need me, I'll be here -Hm-whoa-
      Gbdim
Right here -Hm-whoa-

Oh

Gm9 C13
And how you likin' this new guy?
                                   Fmaj7
I know you always want the new life
                                 Gbdim
I hope he taking care of you like
                                     Gm9
The way you cared for me in my time -Hey!-
                                      C13
See, you got yourself some new friends
                                   Fmaj7
No, you don't need to go to Houston
                                   Gbdim
You got me thinkin' back about then

Girl, I wonder why you textin'

Pre-Chorus:
                  Gm9
Girl, what's with that?
             C13 Fmaj7
Yo', cut the act, 'cause I don't have time for laughs
                      Gbdim
No, I do not want the past
    Gm9
But if you are ever in need
    C13
And God has you down on your knees
    Fmaj7
And you do not know who to be

Then go on and come home to me

Chorus:
           Gm9 C13
'Cause I'm here -Hm-whoa-
                        Fmaj7
If you need me, I'll be here -Hm-whoa-
      Gbdim
Right here -Hm-whoa-
         Gm9 C13
Said I'm here -Hm-whoa-
                        Fmaj7
If you need me, I'll be here -Hm-whoa-
      Gbdim
Right here -Hm-whoa-

Biography

Houston producer and vocalist keshi has beautifully progressed since first releasing music in 2017. Initially crafting lofi beats and using his voice as an added layer of the instrumental, Keshi has since evolved into a genuine singer/songwriter.

Blending hypnotic bumps with flower petal lullabies, his sorrowful and emotional tracks feel like dancing with the lights off. Like crying and smiling at the same time. Perhaps a fitting manifesto of his music can be heard on the track “onoffonoff,” when Keshi sings “kiss me when you hurt me.
