E Abm A E
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
A E B Dbm A
And the dreams that you dream of once in a lullaby...
   E Abm A E
Oh somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
A E B Dbm A
And the dreams that you dream of, dreams really do come true...

    E
Someday i'll wish upon a star
B Dbm A
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
      E
Where trouble melts like lemon drops

High above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me

   E Abm A E
Oh somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly
A E B Dbm A
And the dreams that you dare to, oh why, oh why can't I?...

           E Abm A E
Well I see trees of green and Red roses too
A E Ab7 Dbm
I'll watch then bloom for me and you
      A B Dbm A
And I think to myself: what a wonderful world
           E Abm A E
Well I see skies of blue and I see clouds of white
        A E Ab7 Dbm
And the brightness of day, I like the dark
      A B E A E
And I think to myself: what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow so pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces of people passing bye
    A E A E
See friends shaking hands, saying 'how do you do?'

They're really saying, I...I love you

       E Abm A E
I hear babies cry and I watch them grow
A E Ab7 Dbm
They'll learn much more than we'll know
     A B Dbm A
And I think to myself: what a wonderful world

The lone D chord in this song in the line “They’re really saying, I…I love you” should be a G chord.

Hey guys, just wanted to drop a note reminding y’all that God always keeps His promises! That may sound irrelevant, but there is Bible context. After the flood, He put a rainbow in the sky as a symbol of His promise to never flood the entire world again. So, you know, rainbows! And Jesus has made this a wonderful world. Can we get an amen?

The original strum I learned was down down up down down, not sure if that is correct though!

    • It’s easier if you do D-D-U-U-D-U. Since the “ups” are practically eighth notes, rather than strumming faster with the downs

  10. I really, really like this!

Hi. There is a problem. This page shows Somewhere Over The Rainbow chords but after that it also shows What A Wonderful World. You should fix that.

  12. Thank you, I enjoyed this very much.

  13. Why on earth is what a wonderful world mixed in here….Last time I checked it’s not in here… Or is it a glitch

  14. I like the strumming pattern d-DU-du-DU repeated over for each chord

  15. Replace the lone “D” chord with G, right after the Dm7. “I see friends shaking hands, saying how do you do. Their really saying, I, I love you.
otherwise perfect. I imagine it was a typo since a D chord on a guitar is the G on a uke.
