  1. The original strumming pattern is UxDDxxDx where the Xs aren’t played. The U can also be dropped in favor of changing chords if you can’t change quickly enough.

  12. What is the strumming pattern????

  13. What strumming pattern should i use?

    • xxXUltraEpicUltimateProMaster420.69Xxx

The music is in 4/4 time, meaning that there are 4 quarter notes in 1 measure of the song. Each measure has “da __ da da __ da da da”, based on the music video (each “da” represents half a quarter note, therefore eight “da” equals a measure). (It does sound like sometimes, the rhythm is “da __ da da __ __ da da” but im gonna assume that this rhythm is not as important.) If you insert Down Up into the 1st rhythm (consecutively), you get Down __ Down Up __ Up Down Up. Therefore, the pattern becomes D DU UDU.

    • (somewhere over the rainbow) D D-U U-D-U
