Verse:
        Amaj7 Abm7
 I'll be honest, I wasn't devastated
         Dbm7 Gbm7
But you could've held my hands through this, baby
Amaj7 Abm
Let my mind run underneath warm jets

Amaj7
I run my hands through what's left

 But we're getting older, baby
Abm7
 Don't have much longer baby

 Why am I preaching?
        Gbm7
To this choir, to this atheist
Amaj7 Abm7
Just like mine, versions of these belong to you

Outro:
Amaj7
 After a while
                    Abm
They're keeping me close to you

Amaj7
Just like me, they long to be
Abm
 Close to you

Abm
 And that is why
Amaj7 Abm7
I never can say goodbye, no, no, no, I
Amaj7 Abm7
 I never can say goodbye
