Intro -x8-: A D E D

   A D E D A D E D
At first we were just Gallifreyans and that was fine.
    A D E D A D E D
Just taking up space and biding our time.
     A D E D
'Til Rassilon came along
A D E D
With his ever present sense of right and wrong.
       A D E D
He was strong, he was mighty,
           A D E D
He was the founder of Time Lord Society.

     C G A A
Now, this is the subject that everyone finds the hardest,
           C G A A
But you're gonna have to pass it if you want to earn your TARDIS.
C G A A
Nobody's graduating from this Academy
  C G A D E D A D E
Until you've all mastered Gallifreyan History.
     D A D E D A D E D
Gallifreyan History!

    A D E D A D E D
Now Rassilon had a buddy called Omega.
   A D E D A D E D
His interstellar science would amaze ya.
A D E D
He found our source of power,
A D E D
And devised a cunning plan in under an hour.
        A D E D
It went sour; he was erased,
             A D E D
But at least now we could travel through time and space.

     C G A A
Now, if there's a subject that's impossible, it's this.
      C G A A
In comparison, the Untempered Schism's a piece of piss.
C G A A
Nobody's graduating from this Academy
  C G A D E D A D E
Until you've all mastered Gallifreyan History.
     D A D E D A D E D
Gallifreyan History!

Owww, let's go!

Interlude:
    C G A A -x4-
    A D E D -x2-

    A D E D A D E D
So, now we're all Time Lords, and that's just fine.
     A D E D A D E D
We're travelling through space, bouncing through time;
          A D E D
But we've made it clear not to interfere,
    A D E D
And that's a rule to which we all must adhere.
      A D E D
But I fear that the Doc
     A D E D
Is about causing havoc in his big blue box.

     C G A A
Now, that takes us up to date and everything's just gravy.
       C G A A
I only hope it doesn't get messed up by Russell T Davies.
C G A A
Nobody's graduating from this Academy
  C G
Until you've all mastered Gallifreyan...
  C G
Until you can say you're Gallifreyan...
  C G A G A G A G A G A
Until you know all about Gallifreyan History.

Biography

In August 2008, Alex Day searched the web for “Time Lord Rock” – a subsection of music he thought would exist to celebrate the TV show Doctor Who – but got no results. Shortening the term to ‘Trock’, he introduced the concept to his YouTube viewers, launching the music with a self-penned song called An Awful Lot Of Running (inspired by the words of Jenny at the end of the 2008 episode ‘The Doctor’s Daughter’).
