10 ukulele chords used in "Space Oddity" by David Bowie: A, Am, Bb, C, D, E, Em, F, Fm and G

I find E chords a pain in the @Say what?$$ sometimes and often substitute it for an E7 and for this song I think it works better but That might just be my personal opinion.
Man, this was such a time ago. Nice to see that my fans still love my work
RIP.
On the “take your protein pills and put your helmet on”, try switching the second Am to a C. “(Am) Take your P(C)rotein pills and p(D)ur your helmet on”. It can work both times.
I suggest using the “planet earth is blue” part at the end, it sound more complete that way (and that’s the way in the original).
I use e7 instead of e and I personally think it sounds a lot better also strumming pattern for the course I use it down down up down up and in the beginning I just do single strums and then I kinda randomly strum it back and forth
Am I the only one that uses my first finger on the second fret on g and then bar the fourth fret rest of the strings with my thumb?
I always substitute Em7 for Em and E7 for E and I substitute Bm7 for Bb
So, today is one year since he’s been gone. It’s nice to see that people are still appreciating his work and allowing him to live on in their memory.
You’ll live on always Ziggy Stardust,
RIP
I play E as E7 and I really like how Taylor Picking sounds when playing the chords, it give it a soft, kind of eery sense to it 🙂
Such a pretty song!!
If you’re having trouble with the E chord, try doing it A2 E4 C4 G4
i changed E to E7
this is so cool…. Bowie.. in loving memory
rip david bowie
such a great song
I miss him. He died on the tenth
The lyrics are wrong……
Also, I think you can play Am instead of F for “Heeere” … “Faaar”… and in the interlude I found this progression instead of F C D E , I play Am(4counts), Em(3counts) – G – Bb(2counts) – F(2counts) – C(4counts)
P.S. sorry for spamming
Also, to go back to “Heeeere…” from the outro I think D sounds about right. G (Can you hear me Major Tom, Canyou (D) Hear me Major Tom, Can you (G) Hear Me Major Tom , can you (Am) Heeeere…
@Gwyn Oh yeah! That IS better 😉 nice find
DDUUDDUDU is the one that I use for this song i think it sounds great
strumming pattern i use : DDUUDDUDU
