This policy covers the UkuTabs Ukulele Tuner app for iPhone. It is deliberately separate from the UkuTabs.com website Privacy Policy, because the app and the website work very differently: the website has accounts, comments, analytics and advertising, while the app has none of that and collects no data at all.
1. Who I Am
UkuTabs is a free ukulele resource that I (Jonas) have run since March 2012. I built and publish the UkuTabs Ukulele Tuner app. For any privacy question about the app, contact me at [email protected].
2. What the App Collects
Nothing. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. I have no way of knowing who you are or that you use the app.
3. The Microphone
The app asks for microphone access for one reason only: to hear your ukulele so it can show you the pitch of each string. The audio is analysed live on your device while you tune. It is never recorded, never saved, and never sent anywhere. Nothing leaves your phone. iOS will ask your permission the first time, and you can change it any time in the iOS Settings app.
4. Your Settings
Your chosen tuning, theme, handedness, and app icon are saved on your device so the app remembers them between sessions. This stays on your device and is not shared with me or anyone else.
5. Links to UkuTabs.com
When you tap a link in the app to find a song, the app opens UkuTabs.com in your browser. Once you are on the website, the UkuTabs.com Privacy Policy applies to that visit. The app itself does not track what you do on the website.
6. Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
