Verse (a capella): Oh Ms. Believer, my pretty sleeper. Your twisted mind is like snow on the road. Your shaking shoulders prove that it's colder, Inside your head, than the winter of death. Verse: C F Am I will tell you, I love you. F C Am G But the muffs on your ears will cater your fears. C F Am My nose and feet are running as we start F C Am G To travel through snow. Together we go. F C Am G F C Am G (Together we go [echo]) Chorus: F Am C G We get colder, F Am C G As we grow older. F Am C G We will walk F Am C G So much slower. I modified the plucking pattern a little to fit the melody better, all played on the A string:
3 5 7 10 7—–5 3 7 5 3 0—-3 5 7 10—-3 5 7 5
I’m not sure how to write the rhythms, but you all know how the song goes!
to be honest i think if you do just single down strums it sounds so good and instrumental.
nice
this sounds super close to the original
i use DDUUDU, i think it sounds kind of close to the original, but pretty either way 🙂
This reminds me of my friends, loving it.
I found an easier way to go from Am to G is by playing Am using your index finger on 4th string 2nd fret with your middle and ring fingers hovering over 1st string second fret and 2nd string 3rd fret, so when moving to G all you have to do is press down with your middle and ring fingers and drop your index finger down to 3rd string 2nd fret. Hope this helps!
for verses and chorus, i use single D C(chuck) and i use DDU UDU for the interludes
The strum used is d u chuck , then the next cord is just a down strum
love this song!
Personally I like this better as a finger-picking tab for the verse (especially if you have a low G string):
A————————————————————
E——–0–3–0——–0—————–0–3———–0—
C–0–2———–2–0—–2–0—–0–2——–0–0–2—–2
G——————————–2—————————
Formatting correction
I do DDU for most of it but sometimes it sounds better to just do a down and then wait
If anyone wants the picking pattern, it’s
A/–3–5-7-10-7–5-3–3–7—5-3-0—3–5-7-10—–3-5-7-7-5
E/————————————3————3-3———–
and then repeat to get one verse.
The chorus is
A/–3-0-7——–5
and repeat that.
greatest unintentional christmas song of all time.
Oi fellow nerds, name’s Gail ^^ I’m a Twenty-One Pilots, My Hero Academia, and IT (or just any Stephan King movie) fan, I’m (about to be) 14, and I just want some frens.. add me to Discord? My user is All Hail Gail#0386
(just in case anyone needed it,) my strumming pattern was D, UDUD (down, up down up down). like you start the song with the D and you keep the UDUD pattern throughout the whole thing.
For the fingerpicking style, I find this works best!
All on the A string.
3 5 7 10 7 — 7 5 3 7 5 3 0 — 3 5 7 10 — 0 0 3 5 7 5 — 3 5 7 10 7 — 7 5 3 5 5 3 0 — 3 5 7 10 — 0 0 3 5 7 5 3
DDU strum is amazing :>
I used the DDU strumming pattern for this playing it as chords and it sounds quite nice!
If you do a single strum and then the picking it sounds better. Dont add the chuck.
