      How do you transpose this. I know what transpose means and does with guitars. I am unfamiliar with
      this nomenclature.

      To transpose a piece of music means to shift all of the notes by a half step (+1 or -1) or more.
      For example, if you get C natural a transposition by +1 is C# and -1 is B natural because there isn’t really such a thing as B#, unless you say that it is the same sound as C major. The same way, you would transpose F natural up by +2. That would go up to G (whole step!). Another example is C#, which is just E natural by transposed down by -3. I hope you understood what I meant .
