Hi! I have been slacking on learning guitar lately. I’m in band, and I learned trumpet mostly by myself through playing along with the band. Did the same thing for ukulele; I like to think that I’ve gotten a lot further from where I started!
Now, though.
Gulp.
Guitar.
I’ve got smaller hands, and I’m not the strongest in the hand. Though, I faced similar troubles with ukulele, and I think I can learn guitar the same way I learned my other two main instruments. I’ll play through songs until the chords start to make sense and watch tutorials where needed! Perfect! I’m so excited.

JonasKeymasterAwesome to hear! That’s a great mindset. Since you’ve already built up so much musical intuition through trumpet and ukulele, a lot will actually carry over to guitar for sure. Small hands can definitely make some shapes feel awkward at first, but don’t let that discourage you. Go for songs with open chords at first. The hardest part is just picking it up and starting again! 🎸
