if you want to try plucking which generally sounds way prettier pluck the two middle strings then the top one then the bottom and do this with the chords for the whole song. it sounds beautiful
I’ve spent summers working in AUSTRIA and if I ever go back to Austria I’ll be playing “Edelweiss” in the Austrian Alps for the sweet cows and goats with my ukele. Thank you for these wonderful chords.
On the two last edelweiss in the song instead of the chord progression G D G C, I do G Dm C Cm and it sounds really good!

heyo, i really wanted to use a plucking pattern for this song, and so i came up with this one that i think sounds really great with the song: 4th, and 3rd string plucked together, and then the 2nd string plucked individually, and then the 1st! hope that helped?

A little more challenging but I think +2 sounds better
I’ve discovered that playing a C on the first syllable of the last “Ever” and then G on the second makes it sound a touch more like the original
For some reason after I saw that movie The Sound of Music that song Edelweiss become one of my favorite. Now I so happy able to play it in Ukulele. Thank you Karen for the TIP.
I will do 3 1 2 1 strings for plucking, it sounds better than strumming in my opinion.
