Ukulele Songs with Chords Only — songs notated as chord progressions you strum along to while singing. This is the bread and butter of the ukulele: most songs you sing along to use chord tabs, and most beginner songs are in this category.
Chord tabs work best for songs where the vocal melody is the main attraction (folk, pop, sing-alongs, campfire songs). You strum the chord progression, and your voice carries the melody. They’re also the most approachable: a basic chord-only song needs maybe four chords and a steady strumming pattern.
