beautiful! I find it sounds better when you add an F at the very end. Also when you play the fa-a-a-a-all part, don’t play D, I’m not sure why that’s written, but it sounds bad if I play them.
Hi! Great tabs, noticed a few things:
First, I think it works a little better to swap the F and the Dm for the phrase/progression “And by protecting my heart truly, I got lost in the sounds” and that switch is the same for the second time this verse repeats at the end.
Second, “And suppose I never met you” Don’t go back to the C-F progression of those first two lines of the second verse, it should be the F-Bb-Dm-C progression that follows it on “Suppose I never let you kiss me”
Last thing, in the bridge add F on the words “that of course it’s” and then add G7 the second time you sing “gonna get better”, and at the end of that whole phrase, before it repeats the first verse, don’t shift to F, stay on the C. If you listen to her recording this is where she does a lazy kind of slide into the repeating verse. Personally, I don’t think you need the chord change that’s written.
This may just be my ear, but I played along with her recording and at the very least, the melody doesn’t go back to C on the second verse.
On the third line of every verse, the furst note is f, i think it sounds better with dm instead
in the chorus, where it’s saying “and it breaks my h-h-h-h-heart, i play F, then Bb right before the C. it sounds a lot better in my opinion
It sounds nice if you strum F once at after the C chord at the end.
Thanks Delilah!!
Just wondering what the strumming pattern is meant to be?
If you’re a beginner then -5 is really easy
JosephDas sieht ja furchtbar aus! Ich muss sagen, sie muten ihren Lesern eine ganze Menge zu! Spiele von vor zehn Jahren *k2fosch&#p52;ttel*
Such a beautiful song on the uke! One thing I noticed with this arrangement: The second verse’s “Never loved nobody fully, Always one foot on the ground” is listed as C, F, C, F, but I either had to play F, Bb, F, Bb, or sing a modified tune, otherwise something sounded off. Maybe just me, but figured I’d share. 🙂
