Verse:
Gbm7 E A
I remember it well
          Dadd9 E
The first time that I saw
     Dadd9 E
Your head around the door
        A E Dadd9
'Cause mine stopped working
Gbm7 E A
I remember it well
          Dadd9 E
There was wet in your hair
      Dadd9 E
I was stood in the stairs
     A E Dadd9
And time stopped moving

Chorus:
         A
Want you here tonight
         Dadd9
Want you here,
         A Dadd9 E
'Cause I can't believe what I found,
        E A Dadd9
Oh, and you're here tonight, want you here,
A Dadd9 Gbm7 E A Dadd9 E
Nothing is taking me down, down, down...

Verse:
Gbm7 E A
I remember it well,
       Dadd9 E
Taxied out of a storm,
   Dadd9 E
To watch you perform,
        A E Dadd9
And my ships were sailing...
Gbm7 E A
I remember it well,
      Dadd9 E
I was stood in your line,
         Dadd9 E Gbm7 E Dadd9
And your mouth, your mouth, your mind...

Chorus:
         A
Want you here tonight
         Dadd9
Want you here,
         A Dadd9 E
'Cause I can't believe what I found,
        E A Dadd9
Oh, and you're here tonight, want you here,
A Dadd9 Gbm7 E A Dadd9 E
Nothing is taking me down, down, down...

Biography

Damien Rice (born December 7, 1973) is an Irish singer-songwriter. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, to George and Maureen Rice and was raised in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. In March 1999 Damien moved to Tuscany, then travelled around Europe, busking the streets. He arrived back in Dublin a year later, with a clear head and full of ideas. Damien started playing and recording music with his first band, Juniper. After a few years he decided creatively it was not for him so he left the band (Newly named Bell X1) to start a solo career.
