Gjon Muharremaj, known professionally as Gjon’s Tears, was born in the French-speaking part of Switzerland to Kosovar and Albanian parents.

His song “Répondez-moi” (“Answer Me”) was chosen to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, before the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been selected by the Swiss delegation to represent the country again in 2021 with his song “Tout l’Univers” (“The Whole Universe”) and placed 3rd in the Grand Final winning the Jury Vote
