Strum soft and slow and let the melody carry the romance.

Il (eel) me (meh) parle (par-lay) tout (tou) bas (ba) Je (juh) vois (voo) la vie en rose

“Kids, I must’ve heard your mom’s rendition of ‘La Vie en Rose’ a million times over the years. Every night when she tucked you in, for instance. But that performance, that first night I ever heard her sing, that one will always be my favourite.”
a great song to start 2020 🙂
jesus this entire comment section is just correcting the french pronounciation, so i guess i just have to listen to the audio itself. :/

Well that’s not how you pronounce either. More like…
“kond eal meh prawnd dawn say brah”
Quand il me prende dans ses bras
“eal meh pawrl on tou baw”
Il me parle en tout bas
“juh vwa la vee on rowze-eh”
Je vois la vie en rose

Just a little note to all the non french speakers out there. I think we can all agree, that this is a beautiful song, and some of you want to try and learn the french version. But you feel like you just can’t get it right. People out there might say, you’re horrible! You’d make the original author disappointed! To all the people saying that, give us a break! We’ve never learned French before, and we’re trying our best. So, even if your French isn’t perfect, it still sounds amazing. Keep it up! And have fun : )
this is such sweet song:)
hey I’m French Canadian and I dont know why people are getting mad in the comments it actually isn’t too far off from pronunciation. i would say its pronounced like con ill ma prand dan se brah ill ma parle la too ba je vwah la vie en rose. lowkey pick me’s in the comments…it doesnt matter if you say it a little off in my opinion and stop gate keeping french
picked up the uke… made quarantine a tad bit better:)
playing this at 3am when u can’t sleep hits different. am i the only one?
Yo! Anyone know what’s the strumming pattern?
this version of the song is actually by Louis Armstrong. Edith Piaf’s has different lyrics and her’s are in French.
Whats funny is that ive tried all ur pronunciations and they end up sounding exactly the same just spelled slightly different. Quit bickering and sing the dang song. Its not like youre adele. No one will hear it but you. Seriously. No. One. Cares.
