I am actually fairly certain that this is a reprise. I believe Christine sings it to either the Phantom or Raoul in the Australian (I think) version.
i sing this song in classes quite often, i’ve come across at least five different versions including this one haha
@Amy_Uke This version is from the movie not the Broadway show.
@Tori.crowell I believe the lyrics have been changed around quite bit from the original. I went to see phantom, and think of me was totally different 😛
it is merely just Christines lines, raouls lines are completely cut. as if to make it one sided and uninterupted. you all have to remember that this is composed to be played on a uke. I don’t mean to sound cold, but you all saying it isn’t the right version is just really silly. because its obvious that it isn’t..
Also i would like to say that this version seems to be pulled from the 25th Anniversary Performance!
a lot of people are saying that this is not the original version, and i do not believe it is either. although, a friend of mine auditioned for the touring version of phantom and this was the version that they gave her to sing. the “think of august when the trees were green” line was in the audition song. i’m not quite sure what version this is but it is legit.
fantastic
Kato_Holmes Idt that is true
I watched the musical so now I can actually understand this stuff
I actually really like this arangement! though i have never quite Ab (G#) on the ukulele and replaced it with E and i love the extra spice it adds
The lyrics are off (also chords!)
This is in fact not even the movie version. Nor the Brodway version!
i’m sorry but this is not the correct song. and i doubt that Andrew Lloyd Webber made a different version.
