Let each chord ring long and gentle under the fragile vocal.

This hurts me. The MCR version is better than the top version fite me
I used to be a really big TøP fan but my chem is too special to me. My brother and Gerard were friends in college (Seton Hall University) and he was the first to play my chem on the radio on his WSOU show “Under the Stars”. Mario passed away from leukemia in 2011 and this song isn’t about him but it feels as special as if it were.
Killjoys, make some noise!
I love both versions but mcrs is ultimately better
-2 is decently easy. It fits my voice better with a capo on the second fret and the transposer on -2. Hope this helps ^w^
jesus and i ususually dont use my name in vain. but some of the chords are a bit hard to play next to eachother… (not tryn be rude)
i’m in tears bYE
if the E is too hard (if you have small hands like me) I find that covering all the strings on the fourth fret or just G C and E works amazing and sounds just the same. To get a slightly darker sounding chord don’t cover the A, just G C and E (again, the fourth fret). 🙂
this song makes me cry and hug gerard and tyler at the same time.

From someone who has lived past all the testing and the radiation and the chemo (hip cancer on my right side) I’m happy to say that this song is so right. I’m also sad that this sometimes happens to people. This song makes me cry and I love it so much, so glad I can play this!
+1 is easier to play
if you want to play like the piano try dis
A|——————————-|
E|-0——2–0—————-|
C|—-3————-3-3-3-3-|
G|——————————-|
hope this helps
If you read actual sheet music, the correct chord is not Bbm. I forgot the real name of the correct chord, but it is Bm, but bring it up to the fourth fret! In the sheet music, it is one of the building blocks of the chord progression.
LOVE how this got to the top on the website because twenty one pilots did it lmaoo
so i’m playing +1 semitone bc it’s easier and suits my voice better, and i realized it sounded a bit better to play an A7 as opposed to the C twice in the chorus
“(C) Still I (A7) will not (Dm) kiss you (Bbm)”
if anyone tries it let me know what you think! 🙂
sooo Dbm, yes it sucks, but i know a trick. Play a Bm, but play it two frets down. It’s literally the same as a Dbm. The E also suck, but you can play that as 4,4,4,1 and that helps. once you get those muscle memory, this song is honestly a treat to play and you can feel it
I love Top but this version just hits different
crap, my grandpa passed away a few days ago and I was playing this song when I found out. Ouch.
God, I’ve been trying to learn this song for two days straight, and every time I try to learn it I start crying lmao
how do i know the strumming thingie?
