Swing the island strum and let it lope along lazily.

For the strumming pattern, I use..
D U *Chuck* U
(Called the chucking pattern and you can look it up on YouTube if you don’t know how to chuck)
And then when a line like,
“Pretend it’s like the weekend now”
I strum D U D U on now.
I think this works pretty well, but you can change it to how you like it… hope I helped ?
So is there anyone else that has no idea/know how to do the riffs? pls help ;;
is it odd to say that this song feels like a warm hug?
For the “Can’t you see that it’s just raining” I use the 3rd riff. That’s where it is supposed to be used.
Great song, I recommend, at the end, staying on the Am until you play “slow”, and strumming the G as you say the last word. Feels like a cleaner ending 🙂
I love this song so much!
Whats the 3 riff for? I don’t understand were you need it.
At the lyric “Do we really need to pay attention to the alarm,” it sounds better if you descend from Em (“really need to”) to Gaug (“pay attention”) then C7 instead of C “to the alarm, wake up…” and then resolve to G on “slow”
It should be a G7 after riff 2.
Very nicely done. Once I figured out the riffs it came together nicely. I mostly used my ring, middle, and index fingers to play the riffs.
I LOLLLLLL
can’t you see can’t you see

xE|–5/7——–5/7– 7—5
Thanks!
What does the 5/7 mean in the riffs. Thanks!
For strumming I use DU *chuck* UU *chuck* UU *chuck* UU
