If you transpose down -2, you can play the G chords at the beginning with the G string like: 0-4-5-4-0 by using your pinky finger. You can also play the C chord with that G string but it is a bit more uncomfortable. The strumming pattern I used to make the G string pronounced is D-DUDD-DUDD.
