Chorus ( actually no chords, sing a capella ):
E Gbm A E
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
E A B
In 77 and 69 revolution was in the air
E Gbm Dbm A
I was born too late to a world that doesn’t care
E Gbm A E
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
Verse:
E
When the head of state didn’t play guitar,
Gbm
Not everybody drove a car,
B Gbm E
When music really mattered and radio was king,
E
When accountants didn’t have control
Gbm
And the media couldn’t buy your soul
B Gbm E
And computers were still scary and we didn’t know everything
Chorus:
Verse ( same as first ):
When popstars still remained a myth
And ignorance could still be bliss
And when God saved the Queen she turned a whiter shade of pale
When my mom and dad were in their teen
and anarchy was still a dream
and the only way to stay in touch was a letter in the mail
Chorus:
Verse ( same as first ):
When record shops were on top
and vinyl was all that they stocked
and the super-info highway was still drifting out in space
kids were wearing hand me downs,
and playing games meant kick arounds
and footballers still had long hair and dirt across their face
Chorus:
Outro:

Wie du I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker auf der Ukulele spielst
Auf der Ukulele läuft I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker auf das island strum hinaus: d – d u – u d u. Der Groove: mittleres Tempo, etwa 100 bpm. Du spielst ihn in E Dur. Ride a relaxed strum and accent the backbeat on beats two and four.

Great song! I like +3 the best but i wish the chords were shown for every verse… i would save the struggle of having to scroll up and down so much
Love it! but to avoid the dbm i like to do 2 half steps down with capo on 2 🙂
-4 is even easier 😉
+3 is really easy for beginners, and if you’ve a high voice. 🙂
