The pattern I use is Ddd Ddd Dd (the lower case D’s are lighter strumming) Iḿ not sure if this is correct but I hope it helps!
i personally use DDDdu for the verse, and for the chorus DD very quickly, then i snap— it sounds kinda close to the original
