But it broke loose out in the middle of the night

And now it's eatin' flower children left and right

All the punks are gonna scream, "yippee"

Verse 2:
G G F G G F G
First it cruised on out to Malibu
G G F G G F G
And ate a couple o' surfers who were too tough to chew
G G F G G F G
So it slithered its way out to old Irvine

And ate a couple o' hippies and they tasted just fine

Now, it's got a sweet tooth for long hair

Shame it wasn't born in 1966

Hey hey hey

How many hippies can this monster eat?

It ate Stills and Nash before they could shout
G G F G G F G
And then it chewed on David Crosby but it spit him out

Biography

The Dead Milkmen are a satirical punk rock band that formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band’s best known lineup consisted of Joe Jack Talcum (Joe Genaro; guitar, vocals), Dave Blood (Dave Schulthise; bass), Dean Clean (Dean Sabatino; drums), and Rodney Anonymous (Rodney Linderman; vocals, synth). The original version of the band formed in 1980 around Genaro’s songwriting (a predominantly acoustic and often satirical take on New Wave Punk Rock) when he was seventeen; Genaro produced several home tapes as The Dead Milkmen
