Hit strong down-strums to match the stomping brass-driven beat.

This is a great version of this song!
I am 12 and a super beginner! I found the strumming pattern that worked for me was the traditional DDUUDU. Except for the pre-chorus I just used D.
I transposed it to -5 and capo on 2nd fret with a strumming of dddd except for the pre- chorus. It’s d-d-d-d.
“-” means pause and strum again
-5 is good. Ive only played for about 3 months and it was a little challenging and had to change some but was worth it!!
I like -5 with a capo on 2nd fret.
I’d say this is one of my top favorite songs
anyone wanting a strumming pattern-i found it really pretty to just do single strums. but DUDUDD is also good <3
100th comment 😀
flashbacks to 2018: my first school dance.
this song is kinda gay
D DUDD is the strumming pattern ^^
when you’re in the chorus, if you strum the chords twice, then slap your hand down on all the strings so they go quiet, it sounds really cool
i love this song
When you look at it, -7 is not particularly easier because chords like A and Amin are easier to transition to Dmin and Bb than the key that -7 is in.
-5 is way easier
I love this so muchhhh
Love this song! Tysm <33333
DDUDD works but I prefer DDXDU except for the pre-chorus where I did one downstrum
I you want the sirius XM performance sound then transpose it to -3 and put a capo on the first fret. It also works better for people who have a softer or alto-tenor voice.
I really like this version
