Intro - x2, single strums -: Am G Em D

Verse:
Am G Em D
You're never gonna love me, so what's the use?
Am G Em D
What's the point in playing a game you're gonna lose?
Am G Em D
What's the point in saying you love me like a friend?
Am G Em D
What's the point in saying it's never gonna end?

Pre-Chorus:
          Am G
You're to proud to say that you've made a mistake
         Em D
You're a coward to the end
        Am G
I don't wanna admit, but we're not gonna fit
        Em --
No, I'm not the type that you like
--D
   Why don't we just pretend?

Chorus:
Am G Em D
Lies, don't wanna know, don't wanna know oh
Am G Em D
I-I-I can't let you go, can't let you go oh
Am G
I just want it to be perfect
Em D
To believe it's all been worth the fight
Am G Em D
Lies, don't wanna know, don't wanna know oh

Verse:
Am G Em D
You only ever touch me in the dark
Am G Em D
Only if we're drinking can you see my spark
Am G Em D
And only in the evening that you give yourself to me
Am G Em D
Cause the night is your woman, and she'll set you free

Pre-Chorus:
          Am G
You're to proud to say that you've made a mistake
         Em D
You're a coward to the end
        Am G
I don't wanna admit, but we're not gonna fit
        Em --
No, I'm not the type that you like
--D
