D So this is what you meant when you said that you were spent? A Bm And now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit right to the top, Don't hold back G Packing my bags and giving the academy a rain check D A I don't ever want to let you down Bm I don't ever want to leave this town G 'Cause after all This city never sleeps at night... D It's time to begin, isn't it? Bm I get a little bit bigger, but then, Em I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was G Now don't you understand That I'm never changing who I am? Interlude: D A Bm G D So this is where you fell, and I am left to sell A the path that heaven runs through miles of clouded hell, Bm right to the top Don't look back G Turning to rags and give the commodities a rain check D I don't ever want to let you down A Bm I don't ever want to leave this town G 'Cause after all This city never sleeps at night... D It's time to begin, isn't it? Bm I get a little bit bigger, but then, Em I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was G Now don't you understand That I'm never changing who I am? [same chord pattern as before] It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger, but then, I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was Now don't you understand That I'm never changing who I am? Is it possible to edit this just to add the cords in where it just says “same chords as earlier?” it’d make it a lot easier to play without having to scroll backwards and forwards all the time
Is it possible to edit in the chords over the parts where it says ‘same as earlier?’ it’s a pain to have to jump about all the time
for the intro: on the e string play 5-7-9-7-5-7-7-9-7 🙂
Does anybody have a strumming pattern
Lets see who can continue.
So this is what you meant? When you said that you were meant?
I transpose it down -2…and I use d7 instead of dm…much easier and sounds better too! 😀
i accidentally started playing original witha capo on 1st and it sounded really pretty ;;
The hand clap for this is cool.
I ? this song
Hi folks. Love this song! But what is the strumming pattern? Also, you guys should add an auto scroll, other wise it’s great!
Is this a plucking song or strum? If so what’s the pattern to either one?
Instead of “the path that heaven runs through miles of clouded hell” I think it should be “the path to heaven…”
The F is supposed to be over “was”
I’m so bad at this.
Ugh ukutabs removed the spaces, this is what I meant:
C ———————————————Am
Its time to begin isn’t it, I get a little bit bigger but then, I’ll admit, I’m
F
Just the same as I was,
———————Am————G
Now don’t you understand, that I’m never changing who I am
For the -2 transposing I think the chorus sounds better as:
C Am
Its time to begin isn’t it, I get a little bit bigger but then, I’ll admit, I’m
F
Just the same as I was,
Am G
Now don’t you understand, that I’m never changing who I am
But that’s just how I like to play it :3
Intro: e string
5-7-9-7p5-5h7-9-7 x3
5-7-9-7p5-5h7-12-9
-2 works good
For the chorus, I prefer going D, A, Em, then G. I like how it sounds personally and its easier to play. I <3 this song though. 🙂
for the intro I played the same chords as the interlude (D, A, Bm, G) but as broken chords instead 🙂
to ‘jh’ the d7 does not sound right its too low in pitch to fit in with the rest of the chords are you sure that this is right, it might just be my ears but i think that it is Dm. But it could just be my ears but maybe check again on that before you play this to people who know the song well as they might pick it out and you will look stupid. oh well thats just telling you and you might not even see this message but if you do theres a bit of advice for you 🙂
